# Notifications about all task assigned to user

I keep getting these messages about task assigned to me. Most of the tasks are done done already, while some are still on-going. This is a screenshot:

It would be a great idea to receive notifications for only the task that are yet to be done.

Also, it would be great to have two more tabs:

- One displaying on-going tasks assigned to a user
- The other display task that are done

We talked about two potential solutions in our meeting:

1. We turn notifications off for any task which includes the tag ‘done’. The potential downside to this is that someone may have a valid reason to comment on a completed task, and no-one would see a notification about that.

2. We explore this ticketing plugin: [Tickets Plugin 🎟 - plugin - Discourse Meta](https://meta.discourse.org/t/tickets-plugin/97914). The potential downside here is that it might overlap too much with our Kanban system. I will explore the plugin this week.
