We’ve tried these before and they often fall apart after a few weeks of initial enthusiasm as time zones get to be an issue and someone finds themself the only person turning up, which is frustrating if you’ve set time aside.
I’d like us to discuss some suggestions and alternatives here.

Other meetings can be suggested by others in different timezones so no-one needs to feel they are missing out
Meetings could include gaming with things that people can come into and drop out of, like multiplayer mobile games with games lasting a few mins. We can vote on them.
We should have an automated reminder an hour or two before and a culture of messaging if we are attending. That way no-one sits in an empty video call if no-one else is coming to this meeting.
