@Marvelxy I used the timing data to tighten up the loading orders and times of the whole site (don’t worry i backed everything up first, it was an experiment).
It looks like a HUGE success on my side. On windows (Firefox) and a android (Chrome) the site is far faster than before, and i’ve been unable to push it into any of the known instabilities we have been having. Even when testing far beyond what a normal user would be expected to do.
The issue is that almost all of that timing data collected is coming from my devices as i was the only one using the site in the 24hr period it was collected (i think, anyway), so there is a chance that the site will be unstable on other devices.
I also used the opportunity to put in/improve the fall-backs so it should work everywhere, but it would be really good to know what your experience is when navigating the site on your phone and laptop.
I also put in device and browser recognition to our timing debugger, so when we have more users i can repeat the task for a more complete performance improvement, and also include device/operating system specific timings if needed.
Btw, i also set up our Kanban boards correctly again so we can begin using them for tasks. Not hearing anything back from their devs regarding whether they like the ‘mobile drag and drop’ feature i built, so i’ve no idea if it’ll be put into the main component, or if we’ll get stuck maintaining our own branch again. Kinda annoying as they’ve had an open call at the top of the Component description for years, asking if someone will build the drag and drop function for them, so i was kinda hoping they’d be pleased that i did.
