Societal Aims
- Giving people a bit of a giggle and making the world a more playful place
- A celebration of our freedom as a statement against intolerance and puritanical ideologies that seek to restrict it
How does the event work?
The meeting point is in Chinatown from 2.45pm, fully dressed in normal clothes, where you’ll be split into groups and head down to the Underground at around 3pm.
Inside the station daily life carries on as normal, you’ll blend into the crowd and appear as normal as anyone else. Your leader will drop the trousers as a sign for everyone else, who will be spread out casually along the train, minding their own business, to maximise the confusion and surprise caused to the public as people randomly begin to remove their trousers.
Underwear is mandatory. You can head along to one of the naked bike rides if you’re wanting to get that free in public. Organisers also ask that underwear is kept as normal and low-key as possible, to fit with the casual, normal person.. who happens to have no trousers on today, vibe.
The event is free to join, although you’ll still need to pay your Tube fare.
