New Banner for The Public Happiness Movement

It’s looking great like that, I would say we keep it that way for all versions so it’s easier and faster to implement for now?

Just clarifying, you think the middle version is best universally for now?

Its a good idea to go with one now and add the others as tasks for the respective teams, thanks for that.

I can add the bigger one to our social media banners. … What if the largest version showed all three, like an evolving echo? So the smallest bottom left, then diagonally progressing to the middle one a little larger, then full screen, larger and in the centre the most detailed version?

My thinking is that woyld help users recognise and become accustomed to a new logo, along with how we are using it. It’ll probably be a unique and fairly interesting way to display our logo stack too.

edit: yes, typing that out got complex and annoying, but I’d began so I finished

you mean to have all 3 logos on the social media banners? might not be necessary since the concept the same, but if you think it looks good then why not.

any final touches you can think of me making? do you want me to make a better looking atmosphere to the big heart, or remove the atmosphere?

@Mateo

any final touches you can think of me making?

just an idea. not sure what it would look like, but if others liked it then it would mean that anytime the detailed version is shown it would also show the other two.

tbh, thinking about it again today i think i’m just adding extra complication. unless you really like it lets forget that idea for now.

i was pretty happy with all three as they are. if you can think of any changes afterwards just post them both up and we’ll make it a voting thread.

I will go with @isaiahgirard here on having only one logo for everything, as you say @AndyatFocallocal it might be extra complications to have three versions.

I don’t think it needs any more final touches. Now that we have the brandmark we might need to see how well it works with the text. I don’t know if we should go for “PHM”, “phm” or the whole name. Or not show the text at all?

Could we see it at very little size for the favicon and header to see how it looks?

About the colors, I think it’s ok if it’s in RGB, but we have to make sure they have a CMYK equivalent for print. It could be great to see how it looks in B&W too (for specific applications).

i think text should go with the logo whenever it’s not obvious what the logo is representing, but if it’s where it’s obvious then i think no text is better. when it does have text, i vote for the full name. want me to find a font or do one of you want to?

I’ve seen favicons at 32x32. I’m no expert though

@Mateo

32x32 since andy said that might be ok for a favicon, or i posted the 16x16 version earlier

looks great.

i thought we were using your original design for all large logos, and the small one you posted for the 32x32 and 16x16 sizes?

i thought you said it would only be used for banners, but alright. you want mateo’s input?

Hmm. A logo on a banner is still a logo. I was using banners as an example, Isn’t the three stages of detail for different sizes less confusing?

what do you mean by “less confusing”? which sizes do you want the 3D version for?

The 3D version is your 1st one, right?

I thought we agreed to have one small for icons 16 X 16 or 32 X 32. One with more detail for medium size, I’m guessing rather than following a guide, but around 150 x 150 I suppose. Then the 3d one for any time its larger (like in a banner). As in the examples Mateo posted from other companies, who we could copy the sizes from.

It seems more consistent from a users perspective and they’ll pick it up quickly. Rather than having one logo everywhere and then switching it out only for banners.

so you want me to simplify the favicon version?

Yes. Then we can use the correct one in each situation as it’s needed

@bob sorry for the huge delay, but i think we’ve come to a conclusion and got a logo for you to use. How’s it going with the iOS app?

which sizes is this version for?

does the 32x32 version i posted earlier look alright?
tell me which sizes you want the first logo to be in

That version looks really good. @bob should be able to tell you which size he wants most.

The small one earlier did too :slightly_smiling_face:
